50th Anniversary--St Paul's Senior Homes

We know it has been through grace, vision and generous community support that St. Paul’s Senior Homes & Services was created and has thrived for 50 years. For the last five decades we have provided safety, comfort, care and love for the seniors in our communities. We also understand that none of this would have been possible without much guidance and assistance through the tough times. When we needed to be carried, we were fortunate to have our base of faith, and our Board Members, staff and families to carry us.

Throughout 2010 we hope you will join us in celebrating the many visionaries that have brought us to where we are today and dream along with us to the future. We are hosting one event each month during our celebration year and our three main events are all coming up shortly.

The first major event is our Groundbreaking re-enactment, champagne celebration and 50th Anniversary Evensong on Sunday May 16th. The celebration will get started at 3:30pm in the parking lot of our Community Care Center (CCC) at the corner of 3rd Avenue and Maple Streets. After the groundbreaking re-enactment, there will be a processional to St. Paul’s Cathedral for the Evensong from 5:00pm to 6:00pm.

Then on June 26th from 11:00am to 3:00pm we are co-hosting the Generations Together Street Fair with Meals-on-Wheels of San Diego County, which is also celebrating its 50th Anniversary. The free event will be held on 3rd Avenue between Maple and Nutmeg Streets and includes family activities, live entertainment, food vendors, arts & crafts booths, a dog contest and much more. This event promises to be a lot of fun for the entire family!

Lastly, on August 28th, we will be celebrating at our annual LUV Gala at the Hotel del Coronado. Tickets are $195 for the event, which includes a cocktail reception, silent and live auctions, dinner, live entertainment and dancing.

If you have any stories, pictures or videos to share of St. Paul’s from throughout the last 50 years, we would love to hear from you! If you would like more information or to attend any of the events mentioned above, please call us at (619) 239-6900 or visit www.stpaulseniors.org.

Good Topic for Senior Housing When most people think about protecting themselves at home they automatically focus on security and protection from burglaries and other common crimes.
