Parking this Sunday (half-marathon)

There is a half marathon race this Sunday that will affect the Cathedral.  HOWEVER, in contrast to most races, the runners are starting and finishing downtown, and so they will be parking near Petco Park. Therefore, the impact on parking near us should not be nearly as significant as the races that start or end in Balboa Park.

Instead, the big problem will be street closures, particularly Washington, University, 5th Ave from Washington to Upas, and 6th Ave from Upas all the way downtown.

If you come in from neighborhoods such as North Park, or you use the 163, you are going to have to take a detour probably involving I-5.  Expect traffic.
